I am an experienced freelance creative, working in programming, design, imaging, and music. I have produced work for a wide and diverse range of clients, including the BBC, Naxos records, Naxos AudioBooks, English National Opera, authors, artists, and national newspapers and magazines in both the UK and the United States.
I design and build elegant, user-friendly websites and charming, engaging apps, with an emphasis on attractive design and attention to detail. I write compact, efficient code by hand for good performance, device and browser compatibility, and excellent accessibility.
I have produced everything from small brochure sites to large CMS-driven commercial e-commerce systems, and I created some of the very first commercial e-books with embedded audio content, for Naxos Books.
Naxos Books commissioned me to produce My First Classical Music App – an interactive app for children, based on My First Classical Book by Genevieve Helsby, illustrated by Jason Chapman. Built in HTML5 and CSS 3, it is fully narrated and features quizzes, fun facts, charming animated characters and more than forty pieces of classical music introducing all the instruments of the orchestra and major composers. It was selected by Apple for their App Store Best of 2012 list.

The website of fantasy author James Treadwell. Advent, the first book of a trilogy published by Hodder & Stoughton, was released in 2012.
The website of New Zealand artist David Barker. David works in all mediums and is an architecture, landscape and maritime specialist.
My photography has appeared in many places – from the BBC website, to the Washington Post, and in many other newspapers, publications and websites in both the UK and the United States.
I have been commissioned to write and arrange music for commercial CDs – including both adult and children’s audiobooks – drama on BBC Radio, and various audio and video projects.
As an experienced professional editor and mastering engineer I have produced hundreds of commercial CDs – including painstaking restoration of dozens of historic recordings – and as a recording producer and engineer I have worked with numerous world-class artists and ensembles including English National Opera, Royal Swedish Opera, and orchestras across Europe; at studios such as Abbey Road; and for labels and organisations such as Naxos records, Hyperion Records, and BBC radio and television.
